Last week, Mary, our Development and Outreach Director, and I visited our Crowley Hilltop Preserve, just outside of the town of Crowley Lakes. This is a 33 acre property the ESLT purchased last year, and we have yet to celebrate! Mary and I were planning our spring celebration, and all are invited! It will be Sunday, June 28th, from 4 to 7pm. We want to share this unique piece of open space, with its funny little knobby hill with fabulous views of the Sierra Nevada, Crowley Lake, the Long Valley Caldera and more with our East Side community. There’ll be food and drink, presentations on natural history, and a short hike to the top of the hill to enjoy the views. We invite you to come out and join us on the land. The iris and shooting stars were blooming in the meadow, and the paintbrush was going wild amid the Pinyon-Juniper Woodland. Read more about the preserve on our website, and information on the event here.
