There’s something special about the Eastern Sierra: no matter where you stand or in what direction you look, this unique landscape has the ability to inspire. Over the years, ESLT has met many artists living and working on the Eastside who recognize how important it is to preserve our region’s fragile wilderness, breathtaking vistas, and rural heritage – forever. These artists immortalize the Eastside’s wonders in their timeless works of art; their inspiration and our inspiration are one and the same, and the work they do goes hand in hand with our mission to protect the Eastern Sierra’s wild and working lands in perpetuity.

Purchase your piece of paradise at our Art for Conservation Show and Sale!

ESLT’s annual Art for Conservation Show and Sale ties our work with theirs. Now in it’s 6th year, Art for Conservation is taking place through September 17th at Mono Council for the Arts Gallery in Mammoth Lakes. Thank you to everyone who attended our Grand Opening Reception last week – we had a wonderful evening, and are pleased to report that several works of art were sold that benefit ESLT’s important land conservation work.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to our ESLT Art Committee, a dedicated group of volunteers who have helped make this show a reality, year after year. The expertise and assistance of Lynn Marit Peterson, Debb Campbell, Rick Kattelmann, Bruce and Karen Licher, and Lori Michelon have made this event a true success. We couldn’t have done it without you all!

Are you interested in purchasing your own piece of paradise? Mono Council for the Arts Gallery will be displaying the artwork of our 27 member-artists until September 17th. The Gallery is open from 12 – 5 pm seven days a week, and remember: 25% of all Art for Conservation sales support ESLT’s work to preserve the Eastern Sierra’s vital lands.
