Adopt-a-Highway Cleanup Day

Highway 395

We need your help keeping Highway 395 beautiful and trash-free! On November 2nd from 9-11 a.m., we'll come together for a fun morning of tidying up ESLT's adopted stretch of highway. Earth Day Trash Cleanup

Meeting time and Location: Meet by 9:00 AM on Saturday, April 24 at the municipal parking lot on the corner of Church St. and Fowler St. in Bishop (facing the Bishop Methodist Church building.) Please arrive promptly by 9:00 AM for safety briefing, instructions, and supplies. Free coffee, donuts and pastries will be available as we gather! ESLT Adopt-a-Highway Cleanup Day!

Calling all volunteers! ESLT needs your help in keeping 395 beautiful and trash free. Come out and help us clean our stretch of the highway from 7:30 – 9:30am on Friday, June 25th. Self-Guided Citizen Science Bioblitz!

Eastern Sierra Land Trust is inviting you to participate in collecting scientific observations in a self-guided Citizen Science Bioblitz event! Who: Anyone in the Eastern Sierra Region What: National Geographic defines Citizen Science as, “the practice of public participation and collaboration in scientific research to increase scientific knowledge.” Where: Anywhere throughout the Eastern Sierra. Great Sierra River Cleanup for the Owens River

Want to enjoy amazing views of the Eastern Sierra while making a difference? Join ESLT from 12-2 pm on Saturday, March 19 to remove trash from Highway 395! Great Sierra River Cleanup

Let's combat pollution in Eastern Sierra waterways! ESLT is organizing a cleanup on September 17th as part of the California Coastal Commission's annual Great Sierra River Cleanup. The Great Sierra River Cleanup is part of California Coastal Cleanup day. During last year’s California Coastal Cleanup, 36,289 volunteers came out to 3,086 cleanups, 363,719 lbs of trash and recyclables were removed, and 1,335 miles were cleaned.  Let’s make this year even bigger! The event organizers have postponed the cleanup with everyone's safety in mind. Due to the potential for dangerously high river water flows from snowmelt runoff, the 9th Annual Owens River Clean Up is being postponed to Saturday, November 4, 2023.
