Project Description

Please note: the McAfee conservation easements are private property

The two adjoining McAfee conservation easements protect critical winter range and migration corridor habitat for the Round Valley mule deer herd. This includes good stands of bitterbrush, a key food source during the winter months. Other wildlife such as mountain lion, coyote, bobcat, long-tailed weasel, and western rattlesnake can be found here as well.

This property is adjacent to other ESLT conservation easements, and borders Inyo National Forest land and a deep gorge containing a creek and abundant wildlife habitat.
